Homework 2 | Zen Garden Comps

A multi-colored background is used to draw the eye into the content of the page and provide a visually stimulating layout. The color green is being used to create points of interest and further act as a foundation for the layout of content. Images with hints of green have been strategically placed to divide the content on the sidebar.

Odd shapes and color have been repeatedly used to bring attention to key points on the page. A warm orange is being used to blend into the textured background creating a unified look. Blue serves as the subsidiary color while a neon green has been selected to provide contrast and send the intended message across regarding “the beauty of CSS”.

With the buzz surrounding the word “ECO”, otherwise known as “going green”, the color green and the environment was my inspiration for this comp. Different shades of the color green directs the eye through the layout creating a visual grouping of information.
